about this book: Water Witch began as a flash fiction piece that I found just a bit disturbing. In the flash piece, she was a battle-weary, cynical warrior with powers that her father abused. I wanted to know where the character came from, how she got to that one moment in her life that made her make a decision to take her power back.
As I wrote, I discovered the story was far longer than I thought and realized it had to be written in series form. I completed Blood Witch in September of the same year and am currently working on other pieces of the puzzel, both in novel and novella form.
Alaysha is young, but she isn't naive. She is, however, untried in letting others love her.
I think she's interesting, but I love the other characters too. Aedus intrigues me as does Yenic (the love interest). I know you'll enjoy following their stories through to the end, especially if you love a touch of historical fantasy.
