Book Review: Blessings from Our Mother by Aaron Carlisle

Aaron Carlisle about this book: Blessings from Our Mother is an emotional roller coaster that adds some humor and breaks throughout to lessen the sting of what it was like to experience 23 years of narcissistic abuse. Is that all? Well unfortunately no because the author also had to contend with severe depression, suicide, molestation, betrayal, isolation, and a bunch of other wonderful things until they managed to break away to see the light of day! So no worries if concerns arise regarding the heavy subject matter because they're entirely valid, although the author will guide the reader by the hand without forcing them into a psych ward (the author went to one of those too). Once the ride ends, there's some left over for the reader to catch the breath that may have slipped away in the form of philosophical meanderings that cover why the world is ridiculously dysfunctional – along with how humanity can work towards fixing it. With that being said, grab a chair and relax as the pages flip before those eyes...
