Patricia Leigh Grahamabout this book: Sitting around a campfire and listening to scary stories has always been a favorite past-time of many. Southern Mystical Moments is no different. Patricia Leigh Graham and Verna Crowe Humphrey had chosen their stories very carefully and deliberately. Having grown up in the South, Patricia and Verna felt it was necessary to carry on the oral traditions through their writings. Re-living stories on the front porch, spinning yarns, or exaggerating the truth from a recent adventure has become a lost art.
Several of the stories written were researched by Patricia through actual testimonies. Some of the stories were experienced by family, friends and/or by herself.
For example; the Healer of Tuckasegee is based on Patricia's grandmother who practiced apothecary. She treated her family as her mother, and previous women had done before her with herbs and roots taken from nature.
Follow the narrators as they re-tale their stories while allowing you, the reader, to experience their adventure along with them. Learn about the Appalachian folklore. Have you ever heard about the Boojum, the clurichaun, or the whispering willows? Experience the mystical magic that chases a young couple through history where they discover that love has no time-frame.
