David Wahlbergabout this book: Come live and experience the investigation of a grisly murder among the rich and successful, sometimes dangerous, denizens of the Fashion Industry in West Los Angles. The whole scene is here, from designers, models, retailers, and manufacturers. Experience what is involved in producing a Beverly Hills fashion show from its start to its startling finale. Follow a virile young vigilante-driven detective as he takes the reader on a tour of Malibu, Venice Beach, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills. It is an insider's view of life in those exciting locales and a remarkable discovery of what is beneath the glamour of the settings. The story is told as a first-person account, Chandler style, of the young investigator, Ty Malone, who owns a small office complex in Venice Beach, California. He rents office space to other characters in the novel, all of whom are his friends and offer him assistance in his investigation, in sometimes unique ways, and whenever asked. Ty has been raised by his aunt and uncle. His birth is something of a mystery too. Throughout the novel he tries to learn the truth. Close associates in Venice Beach include a fortuneteller who has taught Ty techniques he uses in learning more about people he encounters. And there is man who makes money telling Fairy Tales to children on the Boardwalk of Venice Beach. This man seems to know what is about to happen to Ty throughout the novel.
