Susan Keeneabout this book: The Twisted Mind of Cletus Compton is a crime/mystery book. It's the story of two men with no boundaries and the people who try to apprehend them. The sheriff of a small county in the Ozarks works with the FBI and profiler Dr. Boo Jordan to outsmart the pair.
The Compton brothers go on a cross country crime spree that threatens everyone and everything in their path.
The book is a short, fast paced read, a good book to take on a car trip or read on the plane. Of course, you can read it anywhere.
The first chapter of this novel came to me in a recurring dream. Night after night I saw the road and well...I don't want to ruin it for you. I thought maybe if I wrote the dream down, it would go away, and it did. The next thing I knew the characters took over and a story was born. Seven months later I had a completed novel.
The title came to me because Cletus is truly twisted and I love to use names in my titles.
This book would appeal to anyone who likes a good action, crime, mystery.
I sent the premise of the book along with my ideas to a design company and they made the cover. It brings some of the highlights of the book: fire, children and Cletus, together.
When I researched a book, I am always amazed at what I don't know. I try to pass the knowledge on to the reader in an entertaining, page turner you can't put down.
