Victoria Roberts Siczak about this book: I actually came up with the idea for this book by playing matchmaker for a friend of mine. She is bi polar, a very lovely lady, but had trouble finding an understanding man to date. Liaisons is about an on line dating service, that helps give unique people a chance to find love. Liaisons clients are beautiful, intelligent, talented individuals, with an affliction or disorder that inhibits their finding someone who will love them in spite of their problems. Their customers are ordinary people, looking for the person of their dreams! When several women slain in the city, evidence points to "Liaisons", clients, customers and even the staff. Is someone affiliated with the dating service the person the police and newspapers are calling "The Slasher"? Is the service liable for the crimes and atrocities be committed, and should they dissolve the agency?
My characters came from different sources, mixed, matched, and opposite of people I know. For instance, the character of Reverend Grayson Murray, came from my son in law who is a technical master, and a minister. However I made Reverend Murray a technophobic, and he needs an understanding woman to bring his ministry into the technical era. Nick Clearwater suffers from post traumatic stress disorder, and I know some veterans who deal with this problem, and different ways of coping with it. I did research for social disorders, schizophrenia, Dissociative identity( dual personalities), and OCD(obsessive compulsion disorder), among many other afflictions. I learned a lot about disorders. I realize what these people suffer through, and I admire their continuity and their discrepancies. Although this is a work of fiction, unfortunately the disorders are not. I wrote this as entertainment, but I have learned quite a bit, and hope readers may discover some things they did not know. I hope readers find this novel entertaining as well as enlightening. Thank you Victoria
