Book: The Heart Of An Assassin by Tony Bertot

Tony Bertotabout this book: When I first ventured down the road of actually writing a book I never imagined that I could do it. I had the thought in my mind for quite some time and a nudge from a friend got me thinking and plotting.
In the old days I would have to run to the library to find maps of Chicago and New York City so that I could add some authenticity to the book. But with today's technology the Internet had everything I needed. I did go to the bookstore and bought a book about guns (history) and another about classic cars. Sat down in front of my PC and started to write and write and write.
The Heart of an Assassin, my first book of what turned out to be a trilogy, follows the life of an assassin hired to take out a crime boss. You enter the lives of the two warring crime families as they seek to expand their reach across each others enterprises (prostitution, gambling, narcotics etc.).
You are pulled into a world where the killing of another human being is part of doing business. You witness the effect it has on an innocent boy who is thrust into a world where he finds himself on both sides of the law. A boy who early in life befriends the assassin only to meet him once again as an adult and on the other side of the law.
The suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat as you turn each page and the characters come to life right before your eyes.
