Book: Tripled Exposure by Tony Nashcategories: Book, Thriller, Detective, Amateur Sleuth, Romance, Family Infighting, Mafia, Friendship, Murder Mystery
Tony Nashabout this book: After completing two series of murder mysteries in which the protagonists were: in the first series a gentlemanly Norfolk detective, DCI Tony Dyce (Murder on Tiptoes et al) and in the second a brash, less than perfect DI John Hunter, working for SCD1 in the London Met. force, (Carve Up, plus five others) I felt the need to try something new and introduce an amateur sleuth, without the tremendous resources of the police force to help in solving the clues. It was a very different and interesting exercise, and one I enjoyed very much. Harry Page is a highly talented and successful fashion photographer, who is pressured, against his will, into investigating the disappearance of his estranged father. Suddenly, he finds himself at the helm of a huge shipping concern - a business that is under threat from hidden forces - violently murderous characters who are prepared to stop at nothing to gain control of the business. The novel has a satisfyingly bloody denouement and an unsuspected, horrifying twist in the tail.
Harry returned later in 'Unseemly Exposure'.
