Keith Lawsonabout this book: Mind control is an interesting theme and there have been many stories on the subject but I wanted to go one step further. What if an entity was so adept at the art of mind control that the controller was able to completely take over its subject and even transfer the thoughts of one person to another? The human brain is a set of electrical currents. It may be the most complicated structure in the universe but at the end of the day the brain is the hardware and the thoughts generated are the software. Could those thoughts not be transferred to another brain as software can be moved from one device to another?
Most writers when considering the possibility of alien contact assume that any invading species would arrive in some form of spaceship. To me that would seem unlikely. At our present level of technology journeying through space in rocket propelled vehicles is all that we can achieve but another intelligent species capable of making contact would surely be so advanced that they would use some form of travel that we cannot even imagine nor understand.
I Put these two thoughts together and began to form the basis for the story.
