Michael Siddall about this book: Thomas Flynn is a legendary swordsman and infamous barroom brawler, who doesn't mind spilling beer or blood to expand his more than ample reputation. Endowed with a wicked, wisecracking sense of humour, he works as a doorman at the roughest, toughest Inn in London, where beer soaked brawls are the nightly event. However, when he is seduced to a new Inn with a far worse reputation, he is seriously injured while doing his job. A pretty young healer patches him up. He falls madly in love. But unfortunately, the woman has another would-be suitor who just happens to be an evil murdering cut-throat – the baron who rules Nottingham with an iron fist. When a close friend is murdered by the baron, Thomas finds a new purpose in life – to re-establish the law and restore order where there is none. But as, one by one, he rids Nottingham of thugs, thieves and murderers, he incurs the wrath of the baron, his son and a serial killer, all of whom want him dead and buried. The whole community of Nottingham lives in fear, but Thomas and friends are always ready to take the fight to the enemy.
