Kelly Vialabout this book: Journeys of the Heart is a memoir of short stories based upon family issues, child abuse, and dealing with death of a loved one, among other inspirations. I was inspired to write this book to share with others, especially children and their respective families that child abuse is a big factor that affects many lives in a different way all over the world. The title is representative of the content of the book itself as it is my personal journey of the heart and how I came to be who I am today because of the events that happened to me in my lifetime.
I hope to reach the parents and children who may have been abused in some fashion and to let them know they are not alone and it is not their fault. Being an abused child myself, I went through many years of self-blame and this is I want other children and their families to know. I want them to know that their dreams are not unattainable. Anything can happen!
It took me over a decade to decide to start writing again and this book was actually not intended for anyone but myself. But as "Journeys of the Heart" began to take form on these pages, I thought it needed to be shared with others.
