D.G. Kayeabout this book: I wrote this book as an emotional release and to share with the many people who struggle with their past. In this book it demonstrates the impact that a narcissistic mother can have throughout a child's life. Growing up in a dysfunctional family has the propensity to leave deep wounds that sometimes may never heal and some that do, which still leave scars within, sometimes buried, yet leave a lasting impression with us. This was my journey through life, emotional neglect and inner struggles I chose to share with the many life lessons attached. It was a very emotional experience writing this book as I reflected back on some very sad moments brought back into light, but having a chance to review and analyze events in a positive perspective, gave me the courage to write and publish it.
This book is relatable for women and men alike, but I would have to say that the general readership of this book is from women of all ages.
I designed the cover with my graphic artist. I chose the heart because the book evolves very much around matters of the heart, with some of the issues inscribed into the heart.
