Marriott Coleabout this book: Getting remarried was the catalyst for finishing Grace, Miracles, and Chocolate. Chapters 1 and 29 were written twenty-four and twenty years ago and published in various magazines. However, the full time job of raising seven children, and then babysitting my beloved grandchildren, prevented me from digging in to finish the book. My new husband, Darrell, whisked me an hour and a half away from the grandchildren when we married. He urged me to type away while he took care of cooking, cleaning, and laundry. After five months of typing, and four months of continual editing, the manuscript was semi-self-published by Inspiring Voices. I say 'semi' because they had to approve the content before they would put their stamp of approval upon it.
Some recent reviews:
• Foreword Clarion Review
Cole's ability to fill her story with attention-getting dialogue makes readers feel as though they are reliving her life along with her. Her retelling will strengthen the faith of Christian audience members; the short chapters only make the book even harder to put down.
• BlueInk Review
Cole tells a powerful story and tells it well. One can see how and why she has clung to biblical promises such as Romans 8:28 ("And we know that for those who love God allthings work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.").
