Tim 'Dr. Hope' Andersabout this book: My name is Tim 'Dr. Hope' Anders and I am the author of Everybody Calls My Father, Father. The reason for the title? Because everybody DID call my father, father! My father was a Catholic priest who fell in love with my mother, a Broadway actress, and hid their relationship behind the church's back while he continued to do his daily priestly duties. Even though he fathered two children, my sister and myself, he never left the priesthood.
The unexpected twists and passionate turns of their true love story will surprise you. The consequences of their relationship will make you gasp. My motivation to write this book was simple: I felt it was my duty to expose to the world what my mother had to endure at the hands of the Catholic church because of her forbidden love.
Because of my mother's optimistic attitude, and stories that she told me as a child, I was inspired to write several children's storybooks. These award-winning books give kids the same powerful tools that my mother gave me when I was a child. I know that these lessons will help children throughout their lives, as they helped me. I now have written my mother's story in Everybody Calls My Father, Father. I hope you will read it.
FYI: I write children's books under the pseudonym Dr. Hope, J.A.P.D. (the J.A.P.D. stands for Just A Pretend Doctor).
