Christina Reidabout this book: As an artist of words, I strive to present family friendly historical fiction stories, with a side of romance and mystery. As every reader knows, getting lost in a good book are some of the most thrilling moments in people's lives, and as an up and coming author, this is what I want to bring to my readers. An escape... with inspiration and hope.
I have always enjoyed nature and everything that it holds, and I think that comes through in some of my writing.
I feel that my primary readers might be those who appreciate a simple kind of life. Old fashioned times paired up with new and exciting ideas that hopefully shine through in my stories. My historical fiction takes the reader from descriptive landscapes that seem to tease the senses, to moments of joy and pain as the writing attempts to toy with your emotions.
"The Missing Letter: A Mail Order Bride Scandal" follows three orphan girls, Angela, Lizzy, and Marilyn, that have grown up together since they were young. Once they were old enough to leave the orphanage, Miss Finley, a loving philanthropist who runs a boarding house in Boston, hires the girls to help take care of her guests. But as time goes on, the friendships between the girls are tested as one of them answers the advertisement for a mail order bride. One of the girls tries to fool everyone by pretending to be someone she's not. A scandal arises and love surfaces from unexpected places as everyone tries desperately to uncover the truth.
