Douglas Rappaport about this book: Victim of Circumstance is about our universal search for love and why we need it, and explores why we're here on this planet, living our lives without truly knowing why. The book also delves into relationships and the big choices we make in life. Did we marry the right person? Take the right job? Are we in a career that makes us happy? What does make us happy? Are we even happy at all? What is happiness?
Through various chapters concerning different reflections of my own life, I step back and look at these experiences and relationships from close up and from far away, and by doing this I'm able to analyze on an intellectual and occasionally (hopefully) humorous level why I made the choices I did and how I can course-correct my life. It's a "wake-up call" book that will hopefully resonate with its readers and their own lives and make them think about things a little differently.
