Terry Atkinsonabout this book: Cindy had a chance at love. She met a man who had all the human values that she actually needed in a man. She met a man who would have loved her and cared for her. He was a decent and caring person.
But Cindy had been raised by parents who thought your college degree and pay check were more important than human values. And Cindy turned her back on Tom without even exploring any possibility of a relationship. She dismissed him without opening her eyes to what was right in front of her face.
Too late, Cindy realized that life had given her a gift which she had spurned. She realized that her false values of education and wealth didn't always bring one happiness. Desperate to find Tom again, she sends an email to the address he gave her. But too much time had passed, and Cindy lost her chance.
Love was lost.
But Cindy might get a second chance at love. She learned a lesson about life which could open new doors in her future. Perhaps she could have love and a man her parents approved of. Time would tell. And so will this story.
Here are some reviews:
• 'Yet another meaningful & easy to read book from Terry Atkinson. A gorgeous love story that includes all the nuances of love & trying to please others instead of doing what is right for you, read it - it'll make you smile.'
• 'This is the story of a young woman caught between two conflicting cultures that in her personal life she believes to be irreconcilable, of finding oneself and learning not to judge others on superficial grounds. Ms. Atkinson's many short stories are all gently told tales with a lesson in the background.'
