Adam Mannabout this book: This novel is basically a love story between a middle aged man who is working in a developing country, and an attractive Vietnamese woman. They meet by chance and find their attraction mutual. They meet again and take their relationship one stage further, often to their great surprise. A simple kiss turns to a passionate encounter. The novel describes some of the local attractions they visit, and when the opportunity arises for them to live together, and then their problems start, renting a flat, buying furniture, arranging for utility connections, and finally deciding to get married. Fortunately the mother of the woman helps them with the local authority and all ends well – happily ever after!
