Book Review: Reasons to be Missed by Troy Veenstra
|5 stars, 1 review|
Troy Veenstraabout this book: This story is about a woman named Liz Hunters, who, after graduating from high school seemed to drop off the face of the earth. She never continued growing, never ventured out of the home like all her friends did at the time. Never went to college, never found a job, never found real love, and never seemed to really live life.
That was until she met a man named Kash over the internet and found the courage to move forward in life. Fleeing from her overbearing mother, she took a chance and ventured out into the world, only to sadly return home a month later. The man she ventured out to see having his fill with her, never again to see her.
This left Liz wanting more in life... her wish being granted as soon her life would have several up's and down, eventually leading to finding her true love, and possible her own death.
I came to write this book after the unfortunate death of a dear friend who lived her life almost the same way as the main character in this story. That said, that's where the non-fiction part ends and the fictional story begins. My goal in this book was to add thing that I believe all of us have faced in our life at one point or another. The questions that we have asked ourselves and the decisions we have all made which dictate where in life we began and what path our lives have taken.
what to read next: if you read and liked this book...

Amazingly Great -- All emotions well felt in this novelI was surprised by this book to be honest. As it goes deep into the questions that all of us as females ask ourselves at one time or another. We all just want to find that special someone that will except us with all our faults, love us to the end, "in sickness and in health, for as long as we both shall live." All of us just want a guy, a relationship that will keep these words true.
Reason's to be Missed does this by first introducing us to the main character, a women that questions everything she does in life, and really has no meaning of it. Finally taking the step and risking it all only to be dumped by a man that wanted her for nothing more than sex. Not surprising, but the story continues, it takes us on a journey of her faults and her alling health issues only to find True love and a guy that was born to follow those words of "In sickness and in health." I wish all of us could find a guy like Mark someday. Cant wait for the next book. It was a good, quick, read and left me feeling oddly happy and sad at the same time. [by Amy Johnson]
