Shamara S. Davis

Author Shamara S. Davisabout this book: This volume of the book is a little longer the the two before it. In this adventures our young characters have gone on a short weekend vacation with their families to Lake Shan. While at Lake Shan one of the vacationers disappears, this is where the story takes off and the adventure ensues.

• What inspired you to write this book?
The inspiration behind this volume is actually from the name itself. I was reading some books from writer Darran Shan who is the author of the Vampire's Assistant and liked his last name some much I thought I would build a story around it. So I thought of something people are also afraid of and a lot people always think that there's something in the water. So this was a fun piece to write.

• Who are the primary readers of your book?
Like all my books the primary readers are kids from age 9-13, who can handle being scared a little. Its not very scary so they just might like what they read.

• How long did it take to write it?
It took me a while to write this one since it's longer that the others. I believe I got in done in around 6 month or so. But because of it being revised and edited I would say I finished in about 8.

• How did you come up with the title?
I got the inspiration for the title from Author Darran Shan.

• Why did you choose this cover?
I chose this cover because I think it reflects the title of the book greatly. The lake, the eyes of the monster, and also the moon representing night which gives it more mystery.

• What was the hardest part of writing your book?
The hardest part about this book was creating it. The other two volumes of my books don't have chapters. This volume has chapters and it was really hard to work with the computer in trying to set it up the way I want.

• Did you do research for your book?
The only research I would say I did was on the cover itself.

• What do you want to say to your readers?
I would like my readers to know that I love their support and if you buy the book make sure to leave a comment so others can join in.
