A new way of preparing for job interviewsI didn't have a job interview coming up but the title intrigued me. The book is split into two main sections, first preparing for the job interview. But unlike conventional interview preparation books there is no sign of the general tips many authors use, such as "have a good nights sleep" or "research the company" rather the but book concentrates on Becoming an Expert, Sales Psychology and Reducing Interview Fears using a range of techniques.
Section two covers the interview itself, describing how you can influence the interview using hypnotic language techniques, reframing negative opinions and how to turn other interviewees into nervous wrecks.
Having 73 rules creates a format that easy to read and digest. I found that I would pick the book up between activities to read a new rule. The highlights of the book were the many stories the author uses to explain the rules he is describing. I highly recommend this book for anyone with a forthcoming interview or an interest in influential psychology.
