about this book: A Story About God all began from a knock on my door one day. What makes this story so unique is that I didn't plan to write about this, it had been ten years since all of these events happened and I had moved on. I was a registered nurse, and held a Bachelor of Science degree. I was busy trying to rebuild all I had destroyed. I had lost my family, my job, I had surrendered my nursing license to the state board of nursing, my vehicle was repossessed, and I was homeless. To write about what had happened never crossed my mind; I had simply made wrong decisions.

However, when these events occurred, I began to develop a relationship with God. I did this by humbling myself, literally getting on my knees and praying everyday. I prayed everyday for God's presence in my life, nothing else. Then one day, about three months into praying everyday, a knock on the door came. When I answered the door it was an old friend from the past. I had gone through nursing school with this guy. I had not seen or talked to this guy in years. He was beside himself with excitement and told me "I had a dream about you and was told to put you to work". I looked at him like he was crazy and asked "what"? He again repeated what he had just said.

This moment began the story about God. Within two or three months from the moment of the dream, my youngest daughter, Camie, was diagnosed with cancer. This becomes a huge part in the story about God. For the next eighteen months God takes over and one amazing event after another takes place. It took me years to realize what had actually happened. God had to shake me awake in the middle of the night to get this story started.

It's a story of a father's four year journey out of worldly destruction intertwined with his daughters twelve month battle with cancer, she was only sixteen.
