about this book: Blood Hybrid is about a young scientist named Alexis Douglas. After finding herself on the wrong end of the University, she gets pulled back in when a brand new infection breaks out in Nashville. In the process she has to work past betrayal, an interfering geneticist, and her history with the overly spontaneous Natalie Merrick to try and save a growing list of patients.
The primary themes are betrayal, greed, desire, fear, intelligence and a willingness to step out of the familiar.
The blood hybrid represents the way that many problems (and people) aren't what they initially seem. There's often more to a situation that needs to be considered, and the fix might not be what you'd expect. The story also shows the danger of extremes, and how sometimes balance is more important than anything else.
The purpose of writing it was to remind myself that we are capable of turning certain disaster into something else entirely. I hope someone finds the message helpful.
