Gerry Skoylesabout this book: Dicing With Diamonds was written as a quick fun read for those with little time to read. The story unfolds rather like a movie . . . what you see and what you hear is what you get. Suitable for all ages, the rollicking adventures of Jed Namara and the lovely Kami goes at a pace with a laugh and smile round every corner. With weird and wonderful characters popping up along the way, you begin to wonder if Jed will ever fulfil his quest to claim the diamonds.
As an ex-pat Brit, the humour for which Britain is famous reflects in my storytelling. The inspiration for this book comes from a love of travel and because my current home happens to be in a jungly area of North-east Thailand ... many miles from the paradise beaches in the south. I chose to set the tale in fictitious Polynesian islands to allow poetic license in developing the plot. In other words, it's an excuse to make otherwise unbelievable situations appear somewhat convincing.
