about this book: Welcome to the world of a creature known as a Schwirdlock, a anthropomorphized creature that is something like a cross between a beetle and an ant who speaks in a language of strange and humorous sounding words referred to as Schwirdlockian, a language that combines the eloquence of Elizabethan English combined with a kind of nonsensical slang.

The Schwirdlockian hero is a quasi-Byronic hero type of character, a "ploppering salesmon" (as his business card might read and which is pronounced with a Jamaican patois), who travels the universe selling trinkets, holographic gewgaws, and chatskis to the inhabitants living on the various planets. It's an adventurous and compelling story filled with suspense and surreal imagery involving several creatures while flying through space on a "twin plop to Baruka".

Apart from the use of new words and expressions in the humorous and captivating story that uses a language we might conveniently refer to as Schwirdlockian, the most noticeable thing that stands out throughout the story is in the basic sentence structures themselves in which the writer obviously is paying homage to Shakespeare.

Phanork! The Misadventures of a Schwirdlock is undoubtedly a story that expands the infinite possibilities of language into a playful mosaic of puns, portmanteaus, wordplay, and creativity. It's about discovery, the discovery of another world, one in which we are only limited by the boundaries of our imagination. It's beautiful, it's fun, and it works.
