Michael Porterabout this book: The book is about survival and redemption. The characters fight their way through the ruins of a world overrun by the demonically possessed. Corporal David Castle is doing what he must to save those few who have survived the event, even if it means descending into the heart of hell itself.
Movies like Night of the Living Dead, 48 Days Later, The Exorcist, The Shining inspired me to write this book. My love of horror fiction.
The title is from a line in the bible, quoted in the novel Gods and Generals about the human spirit.
I choose the cover because the art spoke to me, seemed to fit with my story.
The hardest part of writing the book was not to wrap up the story too fast, or have it drag out too long. I wanted my readers to be engaged and entertained for the whole story.
I hope I'm able to entertain my readers, and that they get what they expect out of the experience.
