Darla Hogan about this book: The book contains a set of stories, which are based in the horror genre, but with the common theme that the internet plays a significant part to each story. The inspiration for this book came about from the work I have completed on a full novel, which is not yet published, but I intend to publish within the next six months. The stories have been written over the past year and published individually on several platforms, the feedback has been very positive and I have won some cash prizes in writing competitions. The cover portrays an eerie picture, taken by me and displayed on a laptop.
The hardest part in writing this book is the factor of time, I run a small, but thriving business and work over sixty hours a week on this. I have carried out some research for a few of the stories, but in the main the ideas have been fermenting in my head for some while. I believe this project has advanced my skills as a writer and want to transfer what I have learnt to the final edit of the novel. The main thing I want readers of this book to gain is a sense of provocation, shock and a strong memory of some of the stories. There are several sub-genres contained within the full set of stories.
