Ariel Setobarkoabout this book: This is a unique illustrated book for very young readers, designed and printed in accordance with the methods pioneered by Glenn Doman in his book How to Teach Your Baby to Read. Each spread contains the text, in one-inch letters, on the left, and the illustration on the right. The text is highly readable, but otherwise it is entirely straightforward. It contains no baby talk and there is no attempt to use short words or simple language. The story is interesting, instructive, and engaging. The tone is light and friendly. The book is ideally well suited for homeschoolers. Naturally, it can also be read out loud to children who haven't started reading yet.
The illustrations can be appreciated at several levels. First and foremost, they help children interpret the text and follow the story. At the same time, they are rich and sophisticated, and manage to surprise not only the children but also their parents and teachers.
The Judgment of Paris is currently one of four titles made available by Sycorax Books in the Miranda Series for young readers.
