Ginger Simpsonabout this book: I love western historical novels and I'm a 'pantser.' My stories are totally character driven and I usually never know where I'm going until I get there. In reality, this is the ONLY story I've ever written where I knew the ending before reaching that point. It came to me in a dream and was an answer to a question that niggled at me about how to create the usual fictional happily-ever-after readers require when the era and situation made it virtually impossible. Through the generosity of Books We Love, I got a chance to reclaim the previously-released book, rework it a bit, and offer it under this new title.
Doing a rewrite also offered the opportunity of creating a sequel in response to a few negative reviews for those who didn't GET the storyline and reality of the outcome. I love Sarah's bravery, perseverance, and I had a wonderful time with her. She's truly MY heroine. Even those who didn't understand the ending did say they enjoyed my writing, so I guess that's a plus. We can't always be everyone's cup of tea, and that's the hardest part of being an author. Those who did GET it, loved it. I hope you'll be one of them.
