Joy M. Lilleyabout this book: This book is an inspiring tale of the divide between rich and poor at the turn of the twentieth century.
You will find aspects of life at that time amazing as poverty was so stark and wealth amazingly opulent.
It is an historical romance and will have you weeping at times.
Isabella, our protagonist spends her young life being privately taught and her upbringing as that of a woman expected to marry into riches, produce a family and living comfortably as her parents, and Grandparents, had lived theirs.
She goes against the expectation and falls in love with one of the families gardeners.
Their summer long romance comes to sticky end when tragedy occurs.
The reviews of this book have all rated it as a 5 star read.
It will appeal more to women then men.
The book took at least two years in production. A considerable amount of research went into the work.
The story was originally entered into a competition. It was commended, and I went on to produce a novel.
I learnt so much from writing this, my first novel that has helped considerably in producing my next novel. A totally different genre.
I do hope you enjoy this read and would be most grateful for reviews.
