Book: Tarnished Honor by J. Lee Coultercategories: Book, Highlander, Scotland, Bride Price, Laird, Historical Romance
J. Lee Coulterabout this book: Brighde refuses to wed a man without honor. Her uncle has other plans. To hide the fact that her dowery is gone, he offers her hand to the highest bidder.
Connall was tired of killing. Known as the king's Enforcer for the last two years, his duty was ended and he traveled home to Halkirk.
He did not seek this distraction, but he could not ignore Brighde's fate and remain honorable. Her uncle was determined to sell her to a known wife killer. The only way to prevent that was to outbid the man and ruin her, forcing a wedding. This, too, was dishonorable. Will she hate him forever?
The hardest part of writing these books for me is doing these summaries. Go figure. This is a short story that I have been mulling over for some time. I have never written a short one before so I hope you will enjoy it. It always leaves me feeling like I have left something out.
