Ann M. Pratleyabout this book: The young heroine of this tale is Alessandra, who marries a young man through an arranged betrothal. Upon first sight they are not impressed with each other, and both are virgins. But over time they both discover that there is much more to the depths of each other, and through their mutual desire to explore and experiment they come to find a deep and loving passion that passes between them.
However, as she visibly changes in her confidence and passion, a man from her past can see the difference and suddenly she becomes the object of his desire. He is obsessed, and his obsession will lead him to lose a little bit of his sanity…
I enjoyed writing Alessandra, mainly because I love her as a character. She isn't a pretty or natural beauty, and the man that she marries isn't a prince-like or god-like perfect specimen of a man. They are both normal and rather plain people and yet as they slowly warm to each other they start to see so much more in each other than what they look like.
