Book: A Knight for Kallen by Lauren Linwoodcategories: Book, Medieval Romance, Knights, Seeing Auras, England 14th Century, Historical Romance
Lauren Linwoodabout this book: I read an article about a woman who claimed to see auras surrounding the body of every person she met. It intrigued me enough to do some research into this field, and I found that many people believe they see auras full of color that band a person's body and/or head and extend about three feet from their physical presence.
I learned what different colors of auras could mean. For example, the color red can be interpreted to show someone is energetic, enthusiastic, brutally frank, competitive, or quick-tempered - or all of these things!
This became the genesis for my medieval historical romance, A KNIGHT FOR KALLEN. I decide to give my heroine Kallen this hidden talent. Once she leaves the convent she's grown up in, she's thrust into a world of political intrigue as she's kidnapped by a man who wants to utilize her special gift in his plot to overthrow his half-brother and taking the crown of England for himself. Even worse? Kallen is stunned to learn that this man, an earl of the realm, is her father.
I hope readers will enjoy the twists and turns that take place in A KNIGHT FOR KALLEN.
