Phillip Loabout this book: The Empress was young, vibrant, and extremely beautiful. Her hair so very shiny and flowing, her skin soft, youthful and glowing. She was in a very powerful position as the Empress, and she had a special place in her heart for a handsome and victorious young General in her command. Sure, she was his superior, and she did enjoy his company, but she was his superior nonetheless. Although she was the Empress, she rarely took advantage of her powers over the General… rarely.
When you are an Empress, and you are ruler over a wonderful and mighty kingdom such as this, your servants must all respect your authority, as well as admire your beauty, displaying their respect and their undying loyalty by kneeling before you in your presence. It is a show of character, a display of the ultimate submission to an authority figure, and a gesture of unwavering gratitude.
The Empress was kind and good and had a special softness in her heart for the General, and he carried the same for her. But the lesson he would learn after being caught telling her not one little white lie, but two, would never be lost on him... And truth be known, she enjoyed it a little too much.
