John Carlyle O'Neillabout this book: After three years of fighting to find the time to write I am pleased to announce that 'Salt & Sacrifice' is finally available to readers. As a young father raising a two-year old son in Washington, D.C. it was a challenge to fit this novel into my busy schedule. Thankfully, the sense of urgency and my passion for the subject bleeds into the writing.
Prepare to be transported into the nightmare of Christian exile in the ancient Roman salt mines. You will journey with Pallas in his quest to preserve what is good. Historical Fiction and Christian Fiction fans will be thrilled with this fast and engaging read.
The title is derived from the Old Testament tradition of offering salt with every sacrifice. The cover art was taken from an original piece commissioned for the book. It was an oil painting I co-designed with the renowned street artist Mata Ruda. His work adorns the sides of buildings in New York City and Baltimore. I could not be happier with the eye-catching painting.
