Book: Six Historical Tales Vol. 1 by Rayne Hallcategories: Book, Short Story Collection, Dark Historical, Historical Short Stories, Reinterpreted Myths, Retold Myths, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Middle Ages, Historical Fiction
Rayne Hallabout this book: This book features six short stories set in different historical periods - Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Ancient Britain, the Middle Ages in Germany and England, and an English seaside town circa 1900.
The stories have a dark slant and elements of paranormal and fantasy fiction. Some reinterpret well-known stories and myths. "Queen of Ithaka" features Penelope who, in this version, definitely does not want her husband Odysseus back. "The Black Boar" fleshes out a German legend. "Greetings from Jerusalem" reveals why Salome danced - and it's not what you expect.
Stories included in this collection are:
• Greetings From Jerusalem
• The Holed Stone
• The Black Boar
• Queen of Ithaka
The stories use British words, grammar, spelling and punctuation. Some of them have been published in other collections.
The cover picture was painted by the Macedonian artist Nadica Boskovska.
This ebook is part of a series. "Six Historical Stories Vol. 2" is also available, as is a bundled version of Volumes 1 and 2.
