Book: Skunk Hunt by James Clayton Rogers

James Clayton Rogersabout this book: When Skunk McPherson was mortally remaindered to the bookshelf of history, there seemed no doubt about his fate. Attempting to rob a jewelry store, the ensuing gunfight in which he and his partner were killed was captured on security cameras and broadcasted on YouTube. One of his sons, Mute, ID'd the body for the police. The Virginia Department of Corrections officially downgraded him from 'felon' to 'compost'. But a big oops inserts itself into the story when Mute, Sweet Tooth and Doubletalk begin receiving messages from their deceased father, alerting them to a cache of loot from a Brinks robbery that had taken place many years earlier. Pursued by a motley of creditors, some of them very deadly indeed, they follow the cryptic trail laid out for them, only to find there was a lot more to (and of) Skunk than met the eye. Ultimately, in a tiny hovel in West Virginia, they discover a horrific treasure. And they literally learn the meaning of coming face-to-face with one's self.
