Shawn Inmonabout this book: I was lucky enough to meet Dawn, the love of my life when I was just 15 years old. Four years later I lost her, apparently forever. That changed on December 1st 2006, when I ran into Dawn for the first time in 27 years. I was stunned at seeing her again, and knew that my love for her had never left. For the second time, Dawn changed my life completely.
Feels Like the First Time tells two stories: What it was like to fall in love in the 1970s, and what happens after two young lovers are reunited after three decades apart. It is a true love story that answers the question: can love overcome anything?
I wrote Feels Like the First Time to tell our story and to share the idea that you should never give up hope that you will find the person you are supposed to be with. It is an innocent love story that touches on the music, cars, clothes and "feel" of the 1970s. If you remember Gerry Rafferty, bell-bottom pants and making out in the backseat of an American made sub-compact car, you will remember the landscape of Feels Like the First Time.
