Book: Hitty and the Halloween Pumpkin Patch Hunt (Hitty Holiday Adventures) by Jody Provost

Jody Provostabout this book: I have always loved the holidays, and so does Hitty! Halloween is fun for trick-or-treating and dressing up, but many would go to a pumpkin patch to pick a perfect pumpkin, would carve turnips for lanterns, and follow a corn maze for fun.
This short story (21 pages) I wanted to write for the kids (big and small)and those who just wanted something full of holiday fun to read before bed or on a break. I had been told that eBooks were the way to go (since my 1st book is in print and much longer) so this was a test for me.
I did even have to do research for this book since the times were so different than now. I never would have known about the turnip lanterns had I not done research. Each part of writing for Hitty has been a learning experience for me, something I want my readers to experience.
The hardest part of this book was choosing the book cover. I found a graphic designer to do a simple cover. To me, Hitty is about simplicity in a life so full of chaos. An involved cover would have been overkill to me, so bright colors were perfect.
