Daniel Saynukabout this book: In this brief ebook you'll learn the jobs a guide dog helps perform for someone who is blind or visually impaired. It begins with the dog as a puppy and explains the training the animal goes through to one day help the blind gain more independence. The book uses text to explain each piece of the dogs life and also features full-color pictures to illustrate each point mentioned by the text. You will learn why you should not pet the dog while he or she is guiding someone. You will also learn some commands the dog learns while in training and the daily maintenance the handler must perform so the dog continues to guide the individual adequately. The author was inspired to write about guide dogs after learning how to use his first guide dog. He wanted to educate the public about how to interact with someone who uses such a dog since these are specially trained animals. The cover is a smaller version of one of the full-color pages in the book which depicts the guide dog guiding a woman.
