about this book: This book is for people who will visit Chichicastenango, Guatemala. There are several travel books on Guatemala but none only on Chichicastenango. I live in Chichi so I have access to new information, that other writers do not have. Market days are on Sunday and Thursdays. Chichi has the largest market in Central America. You will be able to purchase carvings, masks, flowers, brightly colored bags and baskets, fruits and much more!

The Catholic Churches are famous and you can learn more as you visit. The culture is rich in history and the Mayan life continues today. Be prepared before you arrive. Have a tour of the Mayan sacrificial area scheduled. Visit a Mayan temazcal to relax and experience healing. Your guide will speak Enlgish, Spanish, Italian and K'iche'. Have your hotel reservations made so you will not have to be concerned where you will stay and you can enjoy your time! Reading this book will give you the advantage over other tourists!
