Book: How to Act Like a Grown-up - Practical Wisdom for Every Age by Mark DuPrecategories: Book, High School, College, Self-Help, Maturity, Humorous, Wisdom, Growing Up
Mark DuPreabout this book: This is a book you'll love reading once, and then will want to keep around for re-reading later. Its goals is to be genuinely helpful, insightful, and snarky all at the same time. Perfect gift for teen and twenty-something birthdays and graduations. As far as I can determine, there's nothing else out there like this.
I work with a lot of young people (I'm a professor and a minister). Some of the thinking and related behaviors I've seen have made me laugh and some have made me cry. Hence the book.
The cover of the book is genius, and I can't claim any credit for it. My best friend in NYC is a graphic designer, and he conceived it (and art-directed the book) as a favor. God bless him!
