Author Amy Hearstabout this book: The Gladiator's Goddess is the second book in the Gladiator's Gifts series. It's a romance set in ancient Rome.

The book is the story of Nardine, a minor character in the first book, The Gladiator's Girl. She's been a slave at the ludus of Marcus Antonius for many years, and she wants freedom. Her lover, Gaius, is killed in the arena. This prompts her to look for a way to get away but she is caught.

Given a reprieve, she considers her options and soon learns she is pregnant to Gaius. This makes her even more motivated to escape the ludus and create a life for her child, who might very well be taken away from her and sold.

She tries to solicit a gladiator or two to help her in her escape plan, and one of them exposes her. At this point, an African gladiator, Abedi comes to her rescue. He's been flirting with her as he heals from an injury, and together, they scheme together in a bid to find happiness and freedom.

I want to thank my readers and invite you to read this book. It was fun to write; I've grown to love the characters, and am considering bringing them all back together for Book Number Three.
