Betty Mermelsteinabout this book: In A Spirited Justice, I continue the characters from A Spirited Inheritance: A Family Ghost Story. Karen begins her college career and is eager to write for the college newspaper. While researching a story in the library, she discovers a 19th century article accusing her great great great-grandfather of theft. This prompts Thomas' ghost to appear once again, along with his wife, Margaret. The fun and confusion begin as Thomas plays around with modern technology while Karen sets out to clear his name. Karen's roommate and boyfriend support her efforts, too.
I wrote this, as with the first book, for a preteen audience, though I think ages above that will enjoy the plot and humor. For the first time, I used a professional artist, who also illustrated one of my children's books, to create the book cover.
As I finished A Spirited Justice, I was convinced that searching for justice no matter how long ago an error occurred is definitely a possibility.
