M.C. Rayneabout this book: Flavours Of Our Life is a contemporary M/M romance based in Leeds, England.
This isn't your average love story, where everything is all sunshine and roses. Both Eren and Alfie are living half lives, struggling with what fate has handed them. It's only when they meet by chance that things begin to change, when mother nature forces them to remain within one another's company.
When I began writing this, I wanted to create a story that showed how life isn't always easy, and that dark clouds can hang over us and make waking in a morning that much harder. But it's something we have to do, for others as well as ourselves.
The theme of this story is loosely based on an experience I had as a child, and I used this as a guide for my characters plot line.
It is my strong belief that love doesn't come easy, and this is an underlining theme in Flavours Of Our Life. The story begins with both Eren and Alfie showing the reader what they're going through, the pressures they have to endure either for others, or because they don't see an alternative. When they meet, and other characters come into the story, you will see a new start unfolding for the boys and begin to see a side of them both they thought was long lost.
My book is for those of us who believe in the power of love, family and friendship. For readers who want to laugh and cry, and remember each and every page long after reading.
This book is for lovers of the M/M romance genre, or romance in general.
The reason I chose the title Flavours Of Our Life, is because I believe it tells the reader that this isn't going to be a straight forward love story, that it will have layers of both light and dark. The reader may shed a tear at times, laugh out loud at others, but from the first page they will be routing for those boys to become one.
I really hope you all enjoy this story. Come and discover all Alfie and Eren have gone through, and see if they can open one another's heart and find the one thing we all pray for. Love.
