Kerry Adrienneabout this book: This is a short novella. It's also available to read for free on KU! I hope you'll give it a chance--I really enjoyed writing it.
Cruise Control is the story of two ex-military men trying to find their way once they are back in civilian life. The men are quite different. Blake is headstrong, wealthy, and unhappy. Parker is laid-back and trying to figure out how he's going to handle things at his family's auto-repair business. One chance meeting, when Blake's Maserati breaks down, could change everything for them. The attraction is instant, but the investment in each other takes a while.
I enjoyed exploring the lives of two guys who had very different war-time experiences--one was in the heat of things and the other was left behind on US soil. Both lost people they cared about and those losses have shaken their core beliefs about the world around them.
Will Blake overcome his overbearing family and slow down? Can Parker learn to manage things on his own in the small town where he's lived all his life?
