Audrey Tolhouseabout this book: The Vow...
Love hurts. Sometimes the pain is because of an overwhelming sense of joy and passion. Other times it's because, despite the odds, you opened yourself up fully to the unknown and risked your dignity and the chance to play it safe so that you could experience a moment to its fullest. When people step into the realm of love, they take chances. If you get hurt, would you dare risk your heart to another? Or would you keep it to yourself forever? These questions and emotions are explored in
A man sees the same woman at the same place and at the same time. There's sadness in her. He can tell she's broken. More than anything, he knows what she needs. He wants a chance to tell her that he sees her and that she's beautiful. Each time he sees her, he knows it could be the last. He has one final chance to catch her attention...what will he do?
Correcting a Wrong...
He was stupid. He knew that now, and there was only one thing on his mind: Correct my mistake...If you foolishly pushed away the love of your life, how far would you go to get her back?
All in all, there are 14 short stories in this work, and each of them has been beautifully crafted to meet a unique circumstance for each life described. Take a glimpse into these characters, and see a touch of reality. Some will make you cry while others will make you laugh.
These stories are about life, hope, love, and everything else in between. They're super short but packed full of emotions that'll make you remember what it feels like to have loved and won, or lost, or both.
This book is just a compilation of short stories I wrote within the past year. Others are from several years ago (2006). It is not difficult for me to write short stories. They usually end up detailing a pivotal moment in someone's life, a choice or action they must make that'll affect their future in a big way.
Furthermore, I love writing about the moments in a person's life, the snapshots that make up our days. That's how I write many short stories. They're but mere glimpses into a stranger's world, but this stranger could be your neighbor or a coworker and you'd never know.
If you're looking for a quick and easy, touching read, The Mind That Is ME by Audrey Tolhouse is the way to go.
