Sharon Woods Hopkinsabout this book: Killerfind is the second in the Rhetta McCarter mystery series. When something bad happens to her 79 Camaro in Killerwatt, Rhetta finds a near-perfect replacement in a barn in Gordonville, Missouri--a 1981 Camaro Z28, ready to restore. Therer's only one problem with it-the body buried beneath it.
This book came quickly after the finish of Kilerwatt, and took only six months to write and get published.
The title, Killerfind, help establish that the Rhetta McCarter mysteries would all be "Killer" driven titles.
This is what I used tocome up with the title:
In the realm of old cars, a "Barn Find" is a great old car stored away for many years and is ready to restore. A "Killerfind" is a Barn Find turned deadly.
The cover was taken from a painting I did of an old barn like that in my story. The white car and "creepiness" was added by my wonderful graphic arttist when she prepared the cover.
I hope anyone who loves mysteries with a few plot twists, and amateur sleuths who love muscle cars will jump in for the ride in Killerfind.
"Buckle your seat belts and hang on tight! Rhetta Mccarter's back behind the wheel-and you're lucky to be along for the ride!" Joanna Campbell Slan, author of the critically acclaimed Kiki Lwenstein series and the new best seller, Death of a Schoolgirl (The Jane Eyre Chronicles)
