A 21st Century PracticeThis is the most informative book I've ever read on the subject of female circumcision. It's shocking, stimulating and riveting. Very well researched to pull together a story on this as a work of creative non-fiction. I could not put the book down. This is a must read for every woman and man to know about a cultural practice by someone you may be interested in for a long-term relationship or possible marriage. Do your homework and find out about their cultural and religious practices that may involve genital mutilation.
A must read with this practice being out of the closet and exposed for what it really is-sexual oppression & control of womenThis book opened my eyes to what had happened to my relatives in Africa. Thank GOD I wasn't born there being a woman. I could not put this book down. I had heard of this from circumcised relatives but had no idea about the mental, emotional, psychological and physical scarring that mentally and sexually cripple women for life. This is truly a book of enlightment to sympathize with these circumcised women and to take a stand to eradicate this useless practice.
Eradicate Female CircumcisionThis is the most shocking and in-depth story I've read about Female Circumcision! Even though it's a love triangle, it digs deep into the cultural aspects of this generational curse for women born in these types of societies. And the polygamy is due to circumcised women being sexually short-circuited and are tired of their husbands. It tells how men are sorry this has happened to their wives, but feel a wife should be available to her husband cause he had nothing to do with her circumcision. This book unravels this unnecessary act of confusion and oppression to women.
Circumcised WifeThis book exposes the life a circumcised woman and the psychological pain a man experiences being married to a circumcised woman. Being from a culture myself that circumcises women, it is good to know men are beginning to complain about how this affects them. I am a man married to a circumcised woman. Many of us men from my country talk among ourselves about our feelings, and for long time thought we should keep this to ourselves how this bothers us. Many of us do not like this has happened to our wives, sisters, mothers, and daughters. It is up to men to stop this from happening to our women in the future. Abdul
