Miriam Davisonabout this book: This book tells the story of a young writer who finds out her destiny is to become the next Intercessor for the mythological world. I love anything to do with fantasy or horror and I had a dream about a war between good and bad in the mythological world, which affected the human world. The next morning I opened my laptop and started writing. it took a few months to write and I didn't just want the title to read 'the mediator' so I found different meanings for the word.
My nephew came up with the cover for me and I loved it.
The hardest thing whilst writing the book, was the research. I pawed over books on mythology and legends so I could bring characters in that different cultures knew about.
I have just finished a new novel which is in the chick lit category and found that much easier, but loved the use of imagination in the Intercessor.
I would say to anyone, in the majority, writing will not make you rich, but if it is something you love, then keep on doing it.
